SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
We acknowledge the fact that life circumstances and hardships experienced by new immigrants and refugees can be a sensitive topic and may trigger some emotions of the homeland, but our purpose here is to provide support to new immigrants and refugees by engaging in respectful conversations, particularly related to career and employment.
Newcomer Support Canada does not agree with or endorse any comments that individuals post on our profiles, and we do not recommend or control any linked websites and accept no responsibility whatsoever for their contents or views. While we encourage our followers to share their experiences including thoughts, comments, and opinions on our social media profiles, we expect that this will be done respectfully. In doing so, we will only engage in discussions that are fair and respectful, but inappropriate comments and behaviour will not be tolerated whether it is language or inferences that disparage other people or suggest the worth of a person or group or their worthiness to receive help.
If commenters consistently disrupt, distract, or co-opt threads, we may block them. All links posted as comments on our posts will be reviewed and may be deleted as needed, which may also cause the author to be blocked from our network accounts. Furthermore, any form of threatening language will be recorded and brought forward to police and legal authorities.
